Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, the waffles were a delicious treat to start my day and free parking made it easy to explore the nearby attractions.

    It was perfect.

great access to botanical garden and cultural center

The hotel is conveniently situated next to the beautiful botanical gardens and just a short walk from the hof cultural and conference center, making it perfect for exploring the lovely town of akureyri on foot. wardrobe space
    dated bathrooms

The room is very spacious and equipped like a

studio apartment for university students. Plenty of wardrobe space and a desk made my stay comfortable, though the shared bathrooms were a bit dated. Overall, it's a decent choice for travelers.

    delicious breakfast
    spacious rooms
    great location
    lack of water refill station

We had such a fun time staying at this hotel with 20 family members! The breakfast buffet was absolutely delightful, offering a wide range of dishes. The location next to the Botanic Gardens was perfect for leisurely strolls, and our room was clean and spacious, making our stay enjoyable.

In my wife’s opinion, a water bottle refill station would be fantastic for families with kiddos.

Clean large room with decent amenities. Location is uphill, a bit of a walk to downtown. Breakfast buffet offered great options. No WiFi in the rooms, only in the lounge. Golf course nearby is a plus.

    fjord view
    ample parking
    friendly staff
    shared bathroom
    breakfast chaos

I stayed one night at Hotel Edda in Akureyri. My room was a Single Room with Shared Bathroom. The view from my room overlooking the fjord was stunning. The cozy vibe of the hotel was lovely, and there was ample parking available. I appreciated the convenience of the lifts, which eased the climb to my room. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel special during my stay. However, the shared bathroom situation made things a bit cramped at times, especially during peak hours. Also, the breakfast area seemed to need more staff. tables took a while to be cleared, which created some chaos. These issues affected my stay but didn't overshadow the positives of being in such a beautiful location.

Comfortable Stay with Great Dining Options

I stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The dinner buffet exceeded my expectations! Additionally, the cozy common areas made it easy to meet other travelers. Make sure to explore the nearby botanical garden during your visit – it’s a beautiful spot!

    large room
    exceptional breakfast
    poor internet
    sterile atmosphere
    dormitory vibe

The large Triple Room provided a nice view of the wooded area, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Clean and comfortable bedding made for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring a variety of options that catered to vegetarian diets. However, the internet connection was poor during our stay, and the overall vibe felt a bit sterile, reminiscent of a dormitory.

    delicious pasta
    cozy bar
    helpful staff
    missing toiletry bag
    room switch request

The pasta at the Aurora Restaurant was out of this world, with flavors dancing on my palate! The cozy bar near the reception was a sweet spot to unwind after a day of adventures. Plus, the staff were super helpful when we needed to reach out about whale watching.

However, I had a cheeky little inconvenience when my man's toiletry bag went MIA after the cleaning crew. And getting a room-switch request at 10 PM on a Sunday? A bit much, right?

    would happily go back again

The room was clean and had a cozy vibe. It included a shared bathroom with two toilets and two shower rooms, which was conveniently located just opposite our room. Staff were very nice and helpful. The location is great, just a short walk to the center with beautiful views along the way. Breakfast options were good, with freshly baked bread and fresh fruits.

    Great location with cozy vibes

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the large, clean room with a comfy bed. The breakfast buffet was generous and offered plenty of options for everyone. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. However, the lack of soundproofing made it a bit noisy at times.

    large rooms
    great parking
    noise disruption
    pricey breakfast

The hotel had a great parking lot and large rooms. My only complaint was the noise from the hallway and garbage area, which disrupted my peace. The breakfast was a bit pricey, so I skipped it. Overall, it was a clean place to stay during my visit.
